Marine Phytoplankton

Marine Phytoplankton is one of the most ancient plants on this planet, a microscopic single-celled organism which traps energy from the sun in vast quantities. Unlike chlorella which grows in fresh water, phytoplankton lives in the ocean where it is fed upon by myriad creatures, sustaining all of oceanic life in the process. In recent years, it become one of the hottest green superfood supplements after scientists began to realise that the immense nutrient density that make it so attractive to sea life could offer benefits to humans.

How to take Marine Phytoplankton

Phytoplankton is available in powder, capsules or liquid. We don’t advocate the liquid for several reasons so only sell the carefully dried powder, and the capsules for those who find the taste problematic

Our recommend starting dose is 1g per day which is approximately half a teaspoon. Many people the work up to many times that but the guidance is to see how it effects you, and whether you feel you need to increase your dose.

You can mix the phytoplankton in a little water, or add it to your favourite smoothie.

We suggest taking it first thing and on an empty stomach. The phytoplankton has the incredible capacity to be absorbed directly via the mucous membranes which means it doesn’t need to run the gauntlet of the body’s digestive tract. Drink it slowly, letting it absorb through your mouth and throat, and then have your breakfast at least a half hour later if your schedule permits.
